So, there’s this thing that’s been happening to me lately. It’s called getting closer to my dreams. You know how I’m doing that? By creating meaning — through myself and through you.
Life changes really quickly. A few months ago, I was unsure about quitting my job and making it out on my own. Not only have I done alright so far, I’ve also published a book, grown my blog audience, met amazing people, and redoubled my dedication to my craft —all in the last four months. I’ve learned, read, worked hard, and created fun.
I think you should get in on this, too.
Seeking badassery feels like you’re soaring.
It’s hard to continue striving for better, to continue creating meaning, to continue searching for mastery. It’s even harder to find a way to integrate that into your life.
It’s worth it.
It’s worth it because it’s difficult. It’s worth it because anything that’s difficult means there’s lots of opportunity. It’s worth it because anything that’s exhilarating is worth exploring.
In the words of H. Jackson Browne,
Don’t be afraid to go out on a limb. That’s where the fruit is.

The people I’m in close contact with call me a “mentor” or (when they’re especially nice) an “inspiration”. Wouldn’t it be awesome if I could do that for more people? Wouldn’t it be great if I could share what I’ve learned with anyone who wants to seek their own kind of badassery?

The hard part is that I had never actually thought about how to do the actual helping. The format is kind of important (and hard to come up with), so I figured the best way would be to let you decide for yourself.
